Stephen is a finance professional with over twelve years of experience driving impactful change and enhancing efficiency in financial management, particularly within the context of the public sector and international development. He has a degree in finance, Msc in Project Management and a Certified Public accountant (CPA). His expertise extends to project financial management, financial compliance, audit, grant and budget oversight, conducting various financial assessments and financial risk management in Kenya, Ethiopia, Uganda, Tanzania, Ethiopia, Eritrea, Djibouti, Sudan, South Sudan and South Africa. He has spearheaded and contributed to diverse projects for esteemed organizations such as The Global Fund, UNDP, UNHCR, UNICEF, BMGF, GAVI, Word Vision, UNFPA, World bank and European Union funded projects among others.

Additionally, Stephen has significant experience in financial analysis, linking programmatic and financial deliverables, in addition to diplomacy and negotiation skills which were gained whilst working collaboratively with various organisations.
